  • Of the 89 youth referred to CMS, 91% successfully completed Juvenile Court diversion.
  • 91% Students who participated in school-based mediations indicated that mediation “helped me make a good decision” and 95% indicated “following this agreement will help resolve conflict”. 
  • 91% of student-student mediations resulted in agreement.


  • Doubled the number of mediators serving in Housing Court, allowing more time to address cases growing in complexity.
  • In Housing Court 467 mediations resulted in the avoidance of a court-ordered eviction.
  • In Harassment Court 46 mutually acceptable solutions to difficult situations.
  • In Conciliation Court 95% of participants “would recommend mediation to others”.

  • Of 458 Community-based mediations 94% resulted in agreements.
  • 96% of Participants of Community-based mediations agreed “mediation was safe and respectful” and 94% thought “mediation was beneficial”.

  • Of 664 Housing-related mediations 91% resulted in agreements.
  • 98% of those who participated in Housing-related mediations agreed that “the mediation process was fair” and “would recommend mediation to others”.
